New members
Are you desperate for a game? Do you feel like exercising your ball-throwing arm on the pitch and pint-lifting arm in the pub (not necessarily in that order)? Have you been considering playing or coming back to the game for way too long already? Worried that you can’t commit to a team sport because you can’t always make it with your busy travelling/work schedule?
Stop thinking about it, just join us. We are always looking for new members. Everybody is welcome, all skill levels and all ages (no youth division though, we don’t want trouble…). We know rugby can’t always be your top-priority, we just expect you to let us know when you are around. Most club communication goes through an email group, so once you are in, you can easily follow club activities.
Why Te Werve?
Welcoming and integrating new players is what Te Werve does best. As we have no youth division, we rely on the flow of expats coming and going every year. It is in the very nature of Te Werve to make people feel at home! We also have plenty of Dutch members who enjoy the international and social character of the club. After all, we all share the same passion: Rugby. We have two teams, so you can always choose between a competitive side or a somewhat laid-back team.
How to get introduced
CROUCH: Crawl across this website and get a feel for the club.
TOUCH: Get in touch with us. Call or email one of the captains from the contacts page.
PAUSE: Gently inform the missus of your plans as you can’t wait to get into it.
ENGAGE: Come and watch or just rock up with your boots for a training session and stay for a beer afterwards. That's how you really get to know us!
Applying for membership
TRY TIME! Use our 6-weeks free trial period. We require everybody on the pitch to have filled out an application form, but at the same time we don't want to pin you down. So in the application form you can tick the 6 weeks free trial period which will allow you to deregister again in those 6 weeks, without paying anything at all. You kick into touch…oh well …losing is part of the game. However, if you want to stay on the ball, with or without trial period, just fill out this application form and soon you can proudly say that you are a Te Wervian!

More good news: Te Werve has the lowest club fees in the region! Standard membership is €175 - a year Students or social (non-playing) membership is €90 - a year
Bond/Union registration
Do you want to kick into action and start playing some real games? Then you will need a player’s card from the NRB (the Dutch Rugby Union). Te Werve will arrange this for you. While you focus on the game, we will take care of the registration and contribution with the NRB. It usually takes 4 to 10 days to get your player’s card in, but when we have that plus a passport photo from you (of you!), then you are free to play. Easy!
Non-Dutch players
If you do not have a Dutch nationality, then the NRB will need an international clearance before you are allowed into the Dutch rugby competition. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you have no outstanding contracts or debts with other clubs or stuff like that. Te Werve will also take care of this clearance process, all you have to do is fill out the clearance request form.
